Emergency Meetings
The Board of Selectmen had an emergency meeting Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 4:00pm in the Town Hall lower level meeting room to provide an update on the flooding event.
There is a Public Hearing Friday, June 12, 2026 at 4:00pm in the Town Hall lower level meeting room to discuss the emergency expenditure of funds.

Madison Elementary School CLOSED Thursday and Friday, June 12, 2026.
Transfer Station is OPEN to MADISON RESIDENTS ONLY – via Community Market/Eidelweiss Drive/north side of 113.
Route 113 is still CLOSED on the big hill/south side of Boulder Road to Madison Corner/East Madison Road/Village Road.
Open roads should be passed slowly with caution, paying close attention to the sides of the road.
The following roads are CLOSED.
- Rte 113/Conway Road from Madison Corner/East Madison Road to Boulder Rd. Local Traffic Only
- Rte 113/Conway Road between Grison Road and Eidelweiss Drive at Banfield Brook. Local Traffic Only. Transfer Station Open to Madison Residents only.
- Rte 113/Deer Hill Road from Rte 41/High Street to Rte 16 in Tamworth/Chocorua. Local Traffic Only
- East Madison Road at
- Madison Corner/Historical Society. Local Traffic Only.
- Lead Mine Road to Maple Grove Road
- NOTE: Bridge compromised at East Madison Road between Historical Society and Pound Road
- Pound Road Local Traffic Only
- Maple Grove Road Local Traffic Only
- Colby Hill Road
- Mooney Hill Road Local Traffic Only
- Modoc Hill Road Local Traffic Only
- North Division Road at Joy Farm Road
- Salter Hill Road
- Old Colony Road
- King Pine Road
Please respect all barricades and stay safe.
The following roads are ONE LANE. Please USE EXTREME CAUTION
- East Madison Road is one lane:
- Both sides of Gilman Cemetery.
- From Maple Grove Road to Rte 153/King Pine.
The following roads have been OPENED. Please still use caution.
- Glines Hill
- Downs Road
- Bickford Road
- High Street – Use Caution
Brook Washout
- Ferrin Brook is washed out at East Madison Road, between Goe Hill Road and Fox Road/King Pine.
**SILVER LAKE WATER LEVEL WARNING**
Silver Lake levels is 1 (one) foot above normal. Boats are seen floating above their docks, and may become detached from their moorings.
CHECK ON YOUR BOATS
Boats may be REMOVED via the Silver Lake Boat Launch on East Shore Drive.
DO NOT LAUNCH BOATS TODAY

Starting Tuesday, June 15, 2026 for approximately two weeks, chip sealing will begin on the following roads:

- Heritage Road
- Greenwood Road
