EFFECTIVE SEPT. 1, 2008:  TOWN HALL WILL BE OPEN MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, & THURSDAY 8:00 AM TO 4:00 PM (CLOSED FRIDAYS) in an attempt to conserve heating & cooling costs.

The Town is accepting sealed bids for the following: 

1998 GMC LowPro, Blue, 6-Cylinder, CAT diesel, disc brakes, 8 ft 3-4 yd dump body, 9’ Quick Switch plow, 8’6” wing attachment, approx 59,842 miles, as is, where is.  Bids must be clearly marked “1998 LowPro Bid” and can be dropped at Town Hall (1923 Village Rd) or mailed to PO Box 248, Madison, NH  03849.  Bids will be accepted until 4:00 pm on Sept. 16, 2008 and will be opened on Sept. 23, 2008 at the Selectmen’s Meeting.  Direct questions to Road Agent Bill Chick (367-8233) or view truck at Madison Garage (2031 Village Rd).  The Town of Madison reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

CROSS COUNTRY APPRAISAL GROUP is conducting assessments in preparation of the 2010 TOWN WIDE REVALUATION. This is the third year of a five-year contract where 20% of the Town will be viewed annually. All CCAG personnel have ID badges and a letter from Town Hall.  Call Town Hall (367-4332 ext 300 or 303) or Madison Police (367-8334) with questions.

2007 Tax Rate was $12.49, add $3.84 for Eidelweiss Property.  2007 Equalization Rate was 96.1%  Tax bills were mailed 11/16/07 with payment due by 12/17/07.
