The SAU 13 Cooperative Planning Board is surveying residents of Tamworth, Madison, and Freedom about their thoughts on forming a Cooperative School District. They have created an electronic survey which can be accessed directly at http://tinyurl.com/nd8fdrp Please contribute your thoughts soon to help the committee with its recommendations. Town Hall is open Monday – Thursday from 8 am to 4 pm (CLOSED FRIDAYS).
The Transfer Station is open Friday & Monday from 7 am – Noon; Saturday & Sunday from 7 am – 4 pm. 2013/14 Transfer Station/Beach stickers are now available. Click on Departments tab – Transfer Station for more information.
The Madison Police Department will participate in the Drug Enforcement Agency’s National Drug Take Back Initiative by staffing their office at 1923 Village Road (Town Hall – lower level) on Saturday, April 26, 2014 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. so people wishing to dispose of unused prescription medication can ensure it is disposed of properly.

If you own a home in Madison that you rent out, short-term or long-term, you may be required under State Law to file a Landlord’s Agent Designated Respondent Affidavit form with the Town Clerk’s Office. The Selectmen are trying to determine how many viewers have been negatively affected by this change.
